“We are in the process of rebuilding and moving forward without his guidance will be a great challenge,” she shared.

The Lagman family expressed gratitude for the support and condolences from the public, saying it has provided comfort during this difficult time.

“Robredo’s visit eases our pain. Dad and VP Leni were allies in public service, bound by their shared principles and commitment to ensuring marginalized communities had a voice in policymaking,” Lagman’s son, Albay Gov. Grex Lagman, told the Inquirer.

Despite their grief, Grex said the family takes solace in knowing that his father lived a full life dedicated to public service.

He said friends and supporters were invited to pay their respects for the late lawmaker, which will be held at his residence in Sogod Village, Bacacay, Albay, until tomorrow.

Lagman’s remains will then be transported to Manila for a viewing and necrological service in Congress on Wednesday, according to Lagman’s daughter, Tabaco City Mayor Krisel Lagman.
